The South African Institute of Race Relations (SAIRR) is calling for Applications for its 2015 SAIRR Bursary.<\/p>\n
The South African Institute of Race Relations (SAIRR) is a classically liberal think-tank promoting the ideas and policy solutions necessary to drive the investment and economic growth that will free South Africa\u2019s people from unemployment, dependency, and poverty<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
SAIRR is proud to have been funding the education of poor South Africans, regardless of race, since 1935.<\/p>\n
Since 1980 the organisation has provided more than R221 million in bursary funding and produced over 3 600 medical, business, management, scientific, education, and engineering graduates.<\/p>\n
This has been a major contribution to economic empowerment in South Africa – since long before the idea became popular.<\/p>\n
There are six steps to applying for a bursary from the Institute:<\/p>\n
Complete the online application form below. The closing date by which to complete this form is 31 August 2014;<\/p>\n
The completed online applications will be reviewed by the Institute.<\/p>\n
They will produce a shortlist of potential bursary recipients;<\/p>\n
The Institute will contact all short-listed applicants.<\/p>\n
Each short-listed applicant will be supplied with documents that he or she will require in order to complete the application process.<\/p>\n
Note that if you are not contacted by the Institute by 30 September 2014 then you have not been shortlisted;<\/p>\n
Shortlisted candidates must complete the documents they received and return these to the Institute by 15 November 2014;<\/p>\n
The Institute’s bursary selection committee will review all those final applications received on or before 14 November 2014 and make decisions about which students are to receive bursaries for 2015.<\/p>\n
These decisions will be taken by 14 February 2015; and<\/p>\n
The Institute will notify the students who have been granted bursaries.<\/p>\n
