{"id":19039,"date":"2014-09-02T12:44:38","date_gmt":"2014-09-02T10:44:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=19039"},"modified":"2016-11-21T14:19:39","modified_gmt":"2016-11-21T12:19:39","slug":"safety-officer-jobs-petrosa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/safety-officer-jobs-petrosa.html","title":{"rendered":"Safety Officer Jobs at PetroSA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FTC Safety Officer (ORCA) Job Opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monitor and report on the implementation of SHEQ policies and procedures and the compliance to the regulatory and statutory requirements to ensure the safety and security of employees, machinery and equipment in the plant.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that this is a Fixed Term Contract and not a Permanent position.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grade 12.<br \/>\nNQF 4 qualification in SHEQ related courses.<br \/>\nSAMTRAC or NEBOSH International General Certificate is a prerequisite.<br \/>\nNational Diploma in SHEQ related qualification will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n3 years practical experience in chemical related safety environment<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Conduct physical and safety audits in the allocated area in order to identify any risks and non-compliance and compile reports with recommendations to ensure that the workplace is kept safe for work to be carried out.<br \/>\nManage, audit and control the permit to work programs\/systems in order to ensure that all employees in the relevant section are legally allowed to perform work and regulatory and statutory requirements are met.<br \/>\nParticipate\/ facilitate incident and accident investigation processes ensuring that all the necessary information is gathered and documented enabling mitigating actions to be formulated and monitored.<br \/>\nFacilitate\/deliver plant safety induction training to new employees or visitors to ensure that they are aware of the present hazards and the safety processes and procedures that are in place within the area of operation.<br \/>\nPerform all the necessary actions to follow up and close all SHEQ audit findings and incidences to ensure that there is no repeat of the same incidences within the area of operation.<br \/>\nUpdate, track and monitor statistics\/trends of incidents that have been recorded in the incident management system to identify ways and means of preventing these from reoccurring in future.<br \/>\nConduct research and analysis in order to advise PetroSA on new developments, regulatory and statutory requirements that need to be implemented to ensure that PetroSA remains compliant to the relevant legislations.<br \/>\nAssist and facilitate in the conducting of Hazard Analysis and Operability studies and Process Hazard Analysis within the allocated area to ensure the identification and management of safety risks.<br \/>\nContain expenditure within the budget guidelines to ensure that funds are optimally utilized in service delivery.<br \/>\nAssist customers including safety representatives with any SHEQ related requests or queries to ensure that concerns are resolved and quality customer service is provided<br \/>\nManage the development and implementation of a personal learning and growth plan to ensure continued development.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnet.co.za\/index.php?s=advert_view&amp;g=9974&amp;x=3919722&amp;i=47&amp;sw=1&amp;pop=1\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FTC Safety Officer (ORCA) Job Opportunity Monitor and report on the implementation of SHEQ policies and procedures and the compliance to the regulatory and statutory requirements to ensure the safety&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[178],"tags":[1873],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
