Head of PMO \u2013 Energy Management<\/p>\n
Setup and manage a Project Management Office (PMO) for division Energy Management to ensure operational excellence in execution of projects.
\nThe incumbent formulates and implements the operational strategies of the PMO across the EM Divisional, including the various Business Units within EM. Together with the BU heads, plan adequate and competent project execution resources for execution of orders on hand and opportunities in the pipeline. Ensure that projects are run in line with PM@siemens guidelines and meeting Siemens internal targets by providing full support of the allocated project managers.<\/p>\n

What are the responsibilities of the position<\/strong><\/p>\n Project Management: Provide ongoing operational support to project managers in terms of daily guidance and decisions<\/p>\n Serve as the next level of escalation for operational topics<\/p>\n Together with the Contracts & Claim Manager (CCM) ensure that projects are adhering to contractual requirements and at the same time maximize Siemens contractual benefits where possible Develop and expand pipeline of young talents<\/p>\n <\/p>\n People Management:<\/strong> Conduct PMPs and development discussions together with the BU heads for the Project Managers that will functionally report to the PMO i.e. Staff dialogues & career plans <\/p>\n Process Management:<\/strong> <\/p>\n Risk Management:<\/strong> Implement root cause analysis and mitigation measures for NCCs together with project managers<\/p>\n Maintain NCC reporting<\/p>\n Ensure projects adhere to SHEQ and EHS requirements<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Direct Reports:<\/strong><\/p>\n PMO Coordinator \u2013 supports the PMO head with all administrative, reporting and PMO functions. Monitors and reviews adherence to the PM@Siemens processes with the PMO Head. Setup and coordinates all monthly PM reviews between the Project Team, PMO and BUs<\/p>\n Contracts & Claims Manager \u2013 Provides contractual support for claims and contracts management across the various projects. Liaises directly with PMs for contractual advice, review and preparation of claims and customer correspondence<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Functional Reports:<\/strong><\/p>\n Allocated Projects managers across the various BUs. PMs will report disciplinary to the BUs at this moment in time<\/p>\n What do I need to qualify for the position?<\/p>\n Operational Experience for min. 10 years and General Management Experience for 5 years Knowledge and Operations Experience in project We are looking forward to receiving your online application. \nEnsure that Projects meet the necessary deadlines (turnover, timelines and margin)<\/p>\n
\nRegular monitoring of the project for non conformances (costs, deadlines, quality) and implementation of appropriate countermeasures (Continuous improvement process)
\nMonthly Reporting of Projects through project Review meetings with the project team & BU Management
\nResource Management:
\nDefine and develop expertise to adequately support and execute projects
\nResource planning together with BU heads for the required number of resources needed to meet current and future project needs on a continuous basis
\nEnsure effective, productive and optimized use of resources by leveraging on synergies within the Energy Management Division<\/p>\n
\nFull disciplinary reporting of the CCM and project coordinator within the PMO<\/p>\n
\nEnsure adequate and relevant training programs are in place to develop the project management office functions
\nFoster skills and know-how transfer amongst PMO staff and project managers<\/p>\n
\nAdhere to PM@Siemens
\nAdhere to Siemens specific BU or divisional requirements where required<\/p>\n
\nRegular review of project risks and mitigation measures with the project team<\/p>\n
\nQualification: BSc or B. Eng \/ B .Tech in Electrical \/ Electronic Engineering, Registered as professional with ECSA or PM Institution<\/p>\n
\nManagement of Multicultural Staff \/ Organization
\nImplementation \/ Management of projects and knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contracts
\nSiemens process knowledge with focus on project management and engineering processes
\nCertified in PM@Siemens
\nSuitable experience in managing cross functional teams in matrix organisations
\nStrategic Risk and Resource Management<\/p>\n
