REQUIREMENTS : NQF Level 1 (ABET\/AET L1 \u2013L4).<\/p>\n
Previous sports field maintenance experience would be an advantage.<\/p>\n
Special requirements (skills needed): Ability to communicate effectively (verbal) in English.<\/p>\n
Basic knowledge of health and safety.<\/p>\n
Must have physical strength to move materials and equipment.<\/p>\n
The ability to operate brushcutters, etc. Ability to work in a team.<\/p>\n
Gardening skills. Sound knowledge of plants and garden equipment.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
DUTIES :<\/p>\n
Cleanliness of outside terrains.<\/p>\n
Maintenance of trees, flowers, shrubs and grass in gardens.<\/p>\n
Alien vegetation removal. Irrigation and mowing of lawns and trimming of hedges.<\/p>\n
Removing of refuse.<\/p>\n
Clean pools and treat with chemicals. Maintaining fences and practicing pest control.<\/p>\n
Handle weed eaters, chainsaws, lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, blower, etc.<\/p>\n
Check serviceability of equipment and machinery and report defects on terrain.<\/p>\n
