SALARY : R183 126 \u2013 R662 397 per annum. (Salary will be in accordance with OSD determination). The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS : An LLB (or equivalent); At least 2 years appropriate post qualification legal experience; Knowledge of South African legal system, legal practices and related spheres with specific reference to criminal law; Knowledge of criminal procedures, practice and court rules (Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Appeal, High Court and Magistrate Courts);<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996; Ability to stay up-to-date with new developments in South African law (especially Administrative Law) and to conduct independent legal research;<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Experience and knowledge of judicial system and functioning of courts; Appropriate knowledge of and experience in office administration. Skills and Competencies: Legal research and drafting skills; Report-writing and analytical skills;<\/p>\n
Computer literacy (MS Office); Good planning and decision-making skills; Good interpersonal and language skills; Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Key Performance Areas: Administer and advise role players on the following: Section 84 (2)(j) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996; Section 271B and 271C of the Criminal Procedure Act No.51 of 1977; Section 327 of the Criminal Procedure Act, 1977;<\/p>\n

Section 333 of the Criminal Procedure Act,1977; Section 23 of the Supreme Court Act No. 59 of 1959; Debt Collectors Act No. 114 of 1998; Conduct legal research on principles and case law relevant to legal matters; Handle ad hoc tasks in line with instructions; Draft legal instruments; Office administration<\/p>\n
