To develop candidates on how to conduct Civil Testing laboratory operations within a commercial environment, according to QMSs and Accreditation requirements<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n Conduct tests and generate test results and reports thereof:<\/strong><\/p>\n Plan and prepare to conduct tests <\/p>\n Apply calibration and maintenance procedures:<\/strong><\/p>\n Prepare and apply calibration procedures <\/p>\n Participate in maintaining the quality management system and accreditation of the laboratory:<\/strong><\/p>\n Conduct all activities assigned to maintain the Quality Management System and Accreditation <\/p>\n Adhere to SABS HSE policies and procedures:<\/strong><\/p>\n Ensure responsible housekeeping within the work area at all times or as directed by management <\/p>\n Deliver excellent customer service:<\/strong><\/p>\n Provide excellent customer service by meeting and exceeding the client requirements <\/p>\n Ensure that all administration and reporting is kept up to date (within scope of control):<\/strong><\/p>\n Ensure timeous submission of accurate subsistence and travel claims, results, time sheets and any other related documentation <\/p>\n Qualifications And Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n Matric certificate and Academic records for the qualification in Mechanical \/ Civil Engineering (Students) Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n Graduate will receive an Experiential Learning \u2013 12 months contract Behavioural Attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n COMMUNICATION<\/p>\n Conveys information, thoughts, and opinions by writing or speaking in a persuasive manner appropriate to the audience. Quickly recognizes new problems and develops solutions within appropriate time scales.<\/p>\n ORGANISATIONAL AWARENESS<\/p>\n Considers the impact of decisions\/actions beyond the boundaries of own organization \/ team. Influences key people to support the achievement of team and line of business goals. Builds networks of contacts that can help in attaining goals.<\/p>\n QUALITY<\/p>\n Seeks out new approaches and ideas for continuous improvement. \nReceive and record all samples from clients before testing
\nConduct manual or automated tests and generate test results using conventional test methods
\nRecord test results
\nInterpret test methods<\/p>\n
\nDemonstrate the appropriate maintenance and basic trouble shooting requirements
\nCalibrate and verify test equipment
\nProcess proficiency samples
\nParticipate in in-house test validations<\/p>\n
\nMaintain all aspects of the laboratory\u0080\u0099s quality system in accordance with the Quality Manual and the laboratory\u0080\u0099s accreditation to the relevant ISO standard e.g. ISO 17025, OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice and OHS requirements<\/p>\n
\nMaintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety principles and procedures
\nKeep up with all the changes in the OHS requirements<\/p>\n
\nHandle queries and resolve problems within sphere of control
\nAttend to customer issues within sphere of control within the agreed time frame<\/p>\n
\nTimeous updating of training records
\nUpdating of method files with quality control data<\/p>\n
\nMatric + National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical \/ Civil Engineering (Graduates)<\/p>\n
\nStudent will receive an In-service Training to Graduate \u2013 12 months contract<\/p>\n
