IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN X4
\nSALARY : R227 802 per annum excluding service benefits (Level 8)<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS : An Advanced National Certificate\/Higher Certificate in IT with minimum of six years’ experience in IT end-user support OR national diploma or degree in IT with a minimum of one year’s experience in IT end-user support. An A+N+MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and skills: Understanding of Public Service Act and Regulations. Knowledge of Promotion of Access to Information Act and Minimum Information Security Standards.<\/p>\n
Sound knowledge of various computer technologies and how they affect the business. Knowledge of customer service practices and of the organisation. Experience in audio-visual services and video conferencing, including audio-visual equipment.<\/p>\n
Familiar with up-to-date technology and technology trends. Cable wiring and equipment set-up skills. Computer literacy in respect of MS Office Suite essential. Very good interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills.<\/p>\n
Willingness to learn, research and teach new and\/or different technologies. Personal attributes: Have initiative and be able to prioritise tasks.<\/p>\n
Be professional and ethical, client-focused. Be a team worker, adaptable and able to work under pressure. Be willing to take responsibility for own personal development.<\/p>\n
Have the physical strength to lift and assemble, install, operate and maintain equipment.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : The incumbent will be responsible for desktop support, configuration management, and support for and maintenance of telecommunications and audio-visual facilities.<\/p>\n
