REQUIREMENTS : A Bachelor\u2019s Degree\/ National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Commerce\/ Accounting\/Financial Management, Taxation, Internal Auditing with 3-5 years\u2019 experience of which two years must be at a supervisory level<\/p>\n
\u25cfRelevant experience in the Public Service would be an added advantage<\/p>\n
\u2022 A valid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
\u2022 Knowledge and understanding of the Regulation Framework for the Public Service e.g. PFMA, Public Service Regulations, National and Provincial Treasury Regulations and other relevant prescripts<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Analyze and review ledger accounts<\/p>\n
\u25cf Review and analyze suspense accounts<\/p>\n
\u25cf Review monthly bank reconciliations and monthly trial balance.<\/p>\n
\u25cf Oversees month-end and year-end closures<\/p>\n
\u25cfFollow up on reconciling items and assist in the preparation of Annual Financial Statements, Interim financial statements and monthly reports<\/p>\n
\u25cfPrepare and consolidate disclosure information for AFS and IFS and monthly reports<\/p>\n
\u25cfPrepare working paper file for AFS, IFS and monthly reports<\/p>\n
\u25cf Monitor and reconcile interdepartmental debts<\/p>\n
\u25cfMaintain and monitor statutory ledger accounts<\/p>\n
\u25cfMaintain and monitor statutory registers with supporting documents (Register of unauthorized, fruitless and irregular expenditure, register for losses damages and claims, register of gifts, donations and sponsorships)<\/p>\n
\u25cfReconcile assets register for minor and major assets as well as immovable assets<\/p>\n
\u25cfReconcile commitment registers<\/p>\n
\u25cfManage and supervise staff.<\/p>\n
