CENTRE : Magistrate\u2019s Office, Welkom (1) and Bloemfontein (1)<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 and a National Diploma in Legal Interpreting. Five years of practical
\nexperience as a Court Interpreter. Knowledge of Sesotho, Setswana, IsiXhosa,
\nEnglish, Afrikaans and IsiZulu which are predominant languages in this Magisterial
\nDistrict. A Valid driver\u2019s license. Skills and Competencies: Computer literacy (MS
\nOffice).<\/p>\n
Good communication skills (verbal and written). Listening skills.
\nInterpersonal skills. Time Management. Ability to work under pressure.
\nAdministration and organization skills. Good interpersonal relations. Problem
\nsolving. Planning and Organising. Confidentiality. Art of Interpreting and

DUTIES : Key Performance Areas: To render supervisory services in the legal interpreting
\nand language environment. Render interpreting services in complex cases (i.e.
\nHigh profile cases), criminal, civil, Labour Court, Small Claims Courts, Disciplinary
\nHearing, Conciliation and Arbitration, Confession, and in Pre-trial proceedings and
\nConsultations. Translate Legal Document and Exhibits. Develop Terminology.<\/p>\n
Assist with the reconstruction of Court Records. Attend to personnel administrative
\naspects. Procure foreign language interpreters and casuals in line with PFMA.
\nInterpret in special cases when necessary.<\/p>\n
Control and Supervision of\u00a0Interpreters; Provide mentoring and coaching to junior \/ senior interpreters
\n(training). Manage performance agreement of Court Interpreters. Control leave of
\nCourt Interpreters.<\/p>\n
