SALARY : R819 126 per annum (all Inclusive remuneration package, of which a portion can
\nbe structured according to the individual\u2019s personal needs), subject to the signing of

REQUIREMENTS :<\/p>\n
*An appropriate Degree\/ National Diploma in the field of Information Technology;\u00a0plus *A minimum of 3 years management experience; plus *Possession of a valid\u00a0driver\u2019s licence (minimum Code B). Knowledge, Skills, Training And\u00a0Competencies Required: *Knowledge of Public Service Act\/ Regulations, skills\u00a0Development policies and strategies.<\/p>\n
*Knowledge of planning legislation- National\u00a0and Provincial. *Knowledge of Departmental Policies. *Broad knowledge of IT
\nLegislation, Policy and Practices.<\/p>\n
*Understanding IT practices in the Public\u00a0Service. *Knowledge of Public Service reporting procedures and work
\nenvironment. *Knowledge of Labour Relations Act. *Understanding of research\u00a0and policy development processes.<\/p>\n
*Knowledge of research and gathering of\u00a0information. *Interpretation of legislation, policies and statistics. *Knowledge of
\ncomputer based information systems. *Understanding of policy research, analysis\u00a0and developmental processes. *Understanding of all prescripts, practices and\u00a0procedures. *Knowledge of all Public Service and related legislation.<\/p>\n
*Knowledge\u00a0of Project and Strategic Management. *Skills in interpretation and application of\u00a0policy. *Research, policy formulation and managerial skills. *Problem solving and\u00a0analytical thinking skills. *Strategic planning and co-ordination skills. *Excellent

DUTIES : *Manage IT Business Strategy and Systems Developments Services in line with\u00a0the regulatory framework as a strategic resource enabler. *Manage technical \/\u00a0operational support services. *Conduct research into maintenance of existing\u00a0technologies, availability needs and demands of new technology and provide\u00a0advice on operational \/ technical matters. *Manage the resources within the
\nDirectorate. *Manage the development of policies, procedures, standards and\u00a0guidelines in line with the strategic direction, management plans and business\u00a0processes of the Department. *Manage and control service level agreements and\u00a0business processes with SITA.<\/p>\n
