The Walt Disney Company, Africa has an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our South Africa office working for our Sub Saharan Africa Retail group.<\/p>\n

The Key Account Manager will:<\/strong><\/p>\n Drive significant revenue growth of all TWDC retail in defined accounts.<\/p>\n Be responsible for managing the business relationship with designated retail accounts and delivering against both Disney and account objectives.<\/p>\n In conjunction with Category Managers ensure that product and marketing efforts are coordinated and effective, exploiting channel and customer opportunities.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Responsibilities will include the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n Build and maintain excellent relationship with Key Accounts<\/p>\n Understand Account objectives, key strategies, concepts, competitors, and consumer\/shopper targets.<\/p>\n Secure and improve existing business and initiate & launch proactivelynew products, projects and properties<\/p>\n Develop and gain agreement on annual joint business plan that aligns The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) objectives and strategies with Key<\/p>\n Account objectives and strategies.<\/p>\n Develop comprehensive implementation plans for customer-specific programs and manage the execution through constant communication and a joint project management process.<\/p>\n Establish and organize the set-up of regular summits & reviews with Key Accounts<\/p>\n Lead a cross functional TWDC team towards achieving desired results in Key Accounts (Marketing, Category Management, Senior<\/p>\n Management, Advertising Sales & Promotions<\/p>\n Deliver the product strategy as defined by the Category Managers<\/p>\n Assist in the forecasting process to ensure tight budget control and achievement of sales goals<\/p>\n Drive and improve reporting processes (i.e. SKU Counting and Sell-Through Data)<\/p>\n Build relationships at multiple-levels and functions in order to influence key decisions and execute promotions fixed in business plan (Buying,<\/p>\n Sr. Management, Operations and Marketing)<\/p>\n Facilitate the alignment and relationships with operations teams<\/p>\n Ensure precise, consistent, and timely communication with the Category Managers, Licensees and distributors of Key Account activity<\/p>\n Constantly investigate the market for new opportunities in other retailers<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Desired Skills and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n Extensive experience in sales or marketing with branded consumer product, companies or retailers, preferably in an multi-national environment<\/p>\n Deep knowledge and experience of South African retail landscape and respective business patterns<\/p>\n Strong communication and relationship building skills<\/p>\n Ability to multi-task within a small, fast-paced & dynamic group<\/p>\n Graduate or equivalent with ideally a Business Management degree<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
