PPS does not award bursaries to students that already have other confirmed sponsors unless the alternative sponsor is a loan and not a bursary. If the student is in contravention with this policy, the bursary will be withdrawn and disbursed to an alternative bursary recipient.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Obligations<\/strong>\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PPS is only assisting students financially to obtain their qualifications; it is not obliged to provide students with any practical training or employment on completion of studies.<\/li>\n<li>Recipients of the PPS Bursary award will be granted the opportunity to sign up and become a PPS student member at no cost.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>To be eligible for the 2015 PPS Dean bursary, the full time student must:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be registering for a fourth academic year of study or post \u2013graduate degree for 2015.<\/li>\n<li>Be studying towards a profession, which on qualification would be eligible for PPS membership<\/li>\n<li>Be in need of financial assistance<\/li>\n<li>Have an academic average of at least 60%<\/li>\n<li>Be a South African citizen or permanent resident<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"bold\">The following professions are accepted by PPS:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accountants<\/li>\n<li>Actuaries<\/li>\n<li>Advocates<\/li>\n<li>Attorneys<\/li>\n<li>Architects<\/li>\n<li>Dentists<\/li>\n<li>Doctors (belonging to the HPCSA)<\/li>\n<li>Engineers (Electrical &amp; Mechanical with four year degree)<\/li>\n<li>Farmer (with four year degree in agriculture)<\/li>\n<li>Nurses (with four year B.Cur degree)<\/li>\n<li>Pharmacists<\/li>\n<li>Physiotherapists<\/li>\n<li>Radiologists<\/li>\n<li>Radiographers<\/li>\n<li>Scientists<\/li>\n<li>Surgeons<\/li>\n<li>Auditor<\/li>\n<li>Dietician<\/li>\n<li>Veterinarian<\/li>\n<li>Gynaecologist<\/li>\n<li>Microbiologist<\/li>\n<li>Occupational Therapist<\/li>\n<li>Speech and Hearing Therapist<\/li>\n<li>Human Resources Practitioner<\/li>\n<li>Anthropologist<\/li>\n<li>Archaeologist<\/li>\n<li>Political Analyst<\/li>\n<li>Researcher<\/li>\n<li>Linguist<\/li>\n<li>Biokineticist<\/li>\n<li>Social Worker<\/li>\n<li>Biochemist<\/li>\n<li>Biologist<\/li>\n<li>Scientist<\/li>\n<li>Statician<\/li>\n<li>Audiologist<\/li>\n<li>Mathematician<\/li>\n<li>Agriculturalist<\/li>\n<li>Economist<\/li>\n<li>Historian<\/li>\n<li>Meteorologist<\/li>\n<li>Town and Regional Planner<\/li>\n<li>Astronomist<\/li>\n<li>Botanist<\/li>\n<li>Industrial Psychology<\/li>\n<li>Ecologist<\/li>\n<li>Land Surveyor<\/li>\n<li>And other professions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pps.co.za\/portal\/docs\/PPS%20Bursary%20Application.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">PPS Bursary Application Form<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0to apply and attach certified copies of examination results, declaration of own\u00a0\u00a0and \/ or family\u2019s financial position (copy of affidavit), statements from student account and certified copy of ID \/ passport<\/li>\n<li>It will be filled in by the student and returned to Graduate Marketing Specialist.<\/li>\n<li>Shortlisted students will be requested to fill in application form B and return it to the Graduate Marketing Specialist.<\/li>\n<li>Recipients of the bursary award will be notified by the 15th of December via email.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants that do not receive feedback by the 15th of December 2014 should consider their application unsuccessful<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Closing Date<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a031 October 2014<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2015 Dean Bursaries are awarded on financial need and academic record to full time University students in an effort to assist students financially to cover tuition and\/ or text book&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[334],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
