In conjunction with category planning, develop and agree promotions \/ campaigns, and ensure effective execution of promotional policy..<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement sustainable foods promotional practises and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordination of effort across the foods business of regular foods promotions<\/li>\n<li>Identification, scaling and prioritisation of meaningful selling occasions and events<\/li>\n<li>Conduct adhoc studies and scrutiny of new opportunities \/ potential<\/li>\n<li>Develop strong and productive relationship with the Planning and Marketing teams<\/li>\n<li>Creation and co-ordination of Foods trading calendar<\/li>\n<li>Creation and co-ordination of Foods of Foods promotional plan<\/li>\n<li>Proactive &amp; advance creation of weekly trade plans<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate, analyse and record promotions<\/li>\n<li>Contribute towards maximising selling opportunities within the selling teams to ensure that all sales opportunities are maximised<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Retail Business Management related Degree\/diploma<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3-5 years retail \/ commercial and stores experience (preferably in Foods)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2years Planning experience (preferably across different areas in Foods)<\/li>\n<li>In-depth business and commercial understanding and good process\/system skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyse and interpret financial indicators and can set and manage promotional budgets<\/li>\n<li>Able to conduct promotional cost benefit analysis and to understand causes of problems and develop workable solutions<\/li>\n<li>Able to gather, analyse and assess relevant information of past, current or future events, trends or situations and to make informed business decisions<\/li>\n<li>Fully computer literate i.e. advanced Excel, data mining, spreadsheet analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Behavioural Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Personal effectiveness<\/li>\n<li>Passion for the brand and customers<\/li>\n<li>Leading transformation<\/li>\n<li>Thinking strategically and commercially<\/li>\n<li>Connecting people<\/li>\n<li>Delivering high performance<\/li>\n<li>Having an innovative merchant mindset<\/li>\n<li>Making insightful business decisions<\/li>\n<li>Driving quality<\/li>\n<li>Planning &amp; Organising ability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.careerjunction.co.za\/jobs\/promotional-planner-woolworths-1715067?searchkey=692b4039a91ac92c1a5a253f9e596cb00dbba3e2&amp;displaytitle=\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apply online before 17\/11\/2014.<br \/>\nPlease note that Recruiters may delete or expire jobs at any time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Main Purpose Plan, co-ordinate and effectively communicate trading activities for the Foods Group and post these event\/s, to provide detailed analysis to ensure continuous learning &amp; improvement.
