\nSALARY : R227 802 per annum

REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate 3-year Bachelor\u2019s Degree\/National Diploma in Forestry\/ Natural\/<\/p>\n
Environmental Science or an appropriate equivalent qualification, coupled with
\nrelevant experience in natural resource management and alien vegetation. In
\nexceptional cases, extensive and highly competent relevant experience, without
\na degree or diploma, will be considered. Sound project management skills, good
\ncommunication skills and sound organisation and planning skills. Knowledge of
\nWorking for Water policies and procedures, knowledge of legislation relevant to
\nalien vegetation control will serve as an added advantage . Knowledge of the
\nPublic Service and Departmental procedures and prescripts. Computer literacy,
\nknowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). People
\nmanagement, change management and empowerment skills . Valid driver\u2019s
\nlicence and willingness to travel and work long hours with limited supervision.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : The incumbent will be expected to provide project planning support services to
\nthe project by developing a strategic clearing plan and an Annual Plan of
\nOperation (APO) for approval of budget allocation. Facilitate the implementation
\nof project plans through the establishment of project advisory committees.
\nMonitor implementation of project plans by conducting site audits to ensure
\ncompliance with Working for Water policies\/standards, health and safety
\nprescripts and various environment and agriculture legislation which govern alien
\nvegetation control. Render project close out services by conducting final site
\ninspections and facilitating in the handing over of cleared land to the land user.<\/p>\n
