\nSALARY : Appropriate salary will be determined according to the regulatory framework (based on OSD)
\nCENTRE : Cape Town<\/p>\n
\n(Light Current), with at least three years proven relevant experience and compulsory
\nregistration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician. Proven technical skills in
\nmost, if not all of the following fields: Electronic maintenance and support to component level;
\nBasic hand skills; Troubleshooting of electronic equipment; Basic understanding of IT
\nHardware and networking skills. Proven hands-on experience in installing, repairing,
\nmaintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and operation of electronic equipment and systems and
\nhave working experience on a range of electronic test and measurement equipment, including
\nOcilloscopes and Spectrum analyzers. Should also be able to draft and interpret complex
\ntechnical specifications, drawings and schematics. Be committed, innovative and selfmotivated.
\nProven management capabilities and good communication and organizational
\nskills. Should be able to work independently as well as a team member. A good
\nunderstanding of equipment specifications and calibrations is required.<\/p>\n
\nresearch vessel. Remote diagnostics and support for equipment applications and software.
\nRepairs and maintenance including commissioning of Networks, Office IT equipment,
\nemergency and navigation equipment (e.g. Sat-phones) and recreational equipment. Draft\u00a0and maintain manuals and operating procedures. Assist with the training of expedition\/relief
\ntechnical staff. Keep abreast with latest technology in your field of expertise.<\/p>\n
