REQUIREMENTS : BSc Degree or B Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering. An Honours Degree will be an
\nadvantage. Three years relevant experience. Valid driver\u2019s licence. Professional registration
\nwith ECSA will be an added advantage. Knowledge: Departmental Policies and procedures,
\nBatho Pele Principles, Public Service Act and Regulations , OHS Act and Regulations,
\nOHSAS, COIDA, ISO 18001. Skills: Facilitation , Planning and organizing, Computer literacy,
\nInterpersonal , Problem solving , Interviewing listening and observation, Presentation ,
\nInnovative , Analytical, Research , Project management.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Provides inputs into the development of Mechanical Engineering and ensure implementation
\nof Policies and Strategy for the Department of Labour (DoL) in terms of OHS Act and
\nRegulation. Conduct complex inspections for Mechanical Engineering regularly as per OHS
\nprogramme. Conduct technical research on latest trends of Mechanical Engineering in terms
\nof Occupational Health and Safety .Provide support for enforcement action, including
\npreparation of reports for legal proceedings.<\/p>\n
