The candidate should have proven competence and experience in facilitating environmental education lessons.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The position requires a confident communicator who is able to relate well with both learners and educators. The candidate should show an understanding of the Department of Basic Education\u2019s Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) and have proven experience in working co-operatively as part of a team. The successful candidate must have good spoken and written communication skills in two official languages.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The appointee will be responsible for:<\/p>\n<p>Facilitate lessons in the garden at least twice a week between Tuesdays and Fridays and attend the compulsory development and planning meetings on Mondays.<br \/>\nWork closely and co-operatively with other team members and assisting in the development of new lessons and resources.<br \/>\nFulfill all administrative requirements timeously and accurately.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an ad hoc position which does not offer a fixed salary. Payment will be made for meetings attended on Mondays (R123.75 per meeting) and scheduled teaching sessions (R165.00 per session). Payment will only be made upon submitting a signed timesheet. No other benefits apply.
