PROJECT MANAGER: GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM
\n(Three years contract position)
\nDirectorate: Business Process, Risk and Immovable Asset Management<\/p>\n
SALARY : R630 822 per annum, This inclusive remuneration package consists of a basic
\nsalary, the states\u2019 contribution to the Government Employees Pension Fund and
\na flexible portion that may be structured i.t.o. the applicable rules.<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS : A Degree\/ National Diploma in Geographic Information System (GIS) and basic
\nProject Management plus a minimum of 2 to 5 years Junior Management
\nexperience in GIS. Knowledge of the relevant Public Service legislation.
\nKnowledge of Information sources. Knowledge of the project management
\ndiscipline and life cycle (Project Management Body of Knowledge, PRINCE2).
\nKnowledge of GIS and tools. Knowledge of construction industry. Willingness to
\ntravel and a valid driver\u2019s license. Competencies needed: Communication

\nanalysis. Statistical analysis (stata, E-views). Planning and organising skills.

DUTIES : Key Responsibilities: Develop a geographic information model for DSD. Analyse
\nall DSD facilities to ensure optimal locality. Provide GIS information for planning
\npurposes. Develop spatial maps using the GIS system. Present GIS findings to
\nmanagement.<\/p>\n
