REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent).Experience:
\nExtensive PERSAL knowledge and experience. Inherent requirements of the job:
\nValid Code driver\u2019s licence (certified copy). Prepared to work away from home on
\na continuous basis and irregular hours. Competencies (knowledge\/skills): Sound
\nknowledge of HRM Policies and Practices, the Public Service Act, Public Service
\nRegulations, Collective Agreements regarding the above mentioned. Knowledge
\nof Occupational Specific Dispensation (OSD\u2019s). Knowledge of all types of
\novertime according to the BCEA. Good verbal as well as written communication
\nskills to ensure effective report writing. Ability to interpret policies\/procedural
\nmanuals. The ability to identify irregularities in the application of human resource
\npolicies and practices by means of analytical and innovative thinking. Practical
\ncomputer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the PERSAL system. Indepth
\nknowledge in the field of Human Resource Management in the Public
\nService with the emphasis on all aspects of personnel administration. Note:
\nCandidates may be subjected to a practical test.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Key result areas\/outputs: Perform relief function at HR Offices within the
\nOverberg District Health Facilities in the absence of HR Staff. Assist HR Offices
\nwith identified HR functions: HR work, back logs, grade progression and service
\nterminations. Ensure rectification of Auditor-General reports, Internal Auditors
\nreports as well as HRM Advisory Services Compliance reports. Perform
\npersonnel investigations at health facilities in the Overberg District in terms of the
\ncorrect application of Human Resource legislation, policies, practices and
\nconditions of service as well as collective agreements. Informal training of new\u00a0appointments (i.e. Administration Clerks\/Administrative Officers\/Senior
\nAdministrative Officers\/Line Managers) in all aspects of HR. Sample testing of
\nHR Audit Action Plan and CMI and perform ad hoc investigations, e.g.
\nadministration, irregularities, etc. Interpret administrative directives and policies
\npertaining to Human Resource Management.<\/p>\n
