{"id":20817,"date":"2015-02-06T04:24:58","date_gmt":"2015-02-06T02:24:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=20817"},"modified":"2016-06-29T23:47:53","modified_gmt":"2016-06-29T21:47:53","slug":"perishable-products-inspector-graduate-internship-opportunities-ar-ppecb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/perishable-products-inspector-graduate-internship-opportunities-ar-ppecb.html","title":{"rendered":"Perishable Products Inspector Graduate \/ Internship Opportunities ar PPECB x 12 Vacancies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Location: Kirkwood \/ Patensie \/ Addo \/ Fort Beaufort \/ Langkloof \/ Port Elizabeth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Statutory Operations Department<\/strong> has a vacancy for <strong>Temporary Graduate Inspectors (x12)<\/strong> to conduct inspection of products and equipment according to standard protocols as prescribed through PPECB\u2019s legislative mandate for the period <strong>1 April 2015 to 30 September 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inspect and certify perishable products<\/li>\n<li>Inspect the handling, storage and transport of perishable products<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the correct application of quality management systems, BMS procedures and work instructions<\/li>\n<li>Perform administrative tasks<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain good relations with PPECB clients<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with various clients on own specific task and outcome of decisions<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the relief duty roster<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A tertiary qualification in an agricultural or food science discipline<\/li>\n<li>National Certificate: Perishable Produce Export Technology would be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Practical experience of products inspected in the relevant region will be an advantage: Vegetables, Citrus, Avocado.<\/li>\n<li>Good verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work independently and \/ or with minimum supervision<\/li>\n<li>A valid code 08 driving license and own reliable vehicle is a requirement for doing the job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PPECB is an equal opportunity employer and promotes compliance with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act.
