MAINTENANCE OFFICER (MR1 \u2013 MR4) 2 POSTS REF NO: 03\/15\/LMP
\nSALARY : R141 339 \u2013 R252 969 per annum. (Salary will be determined in accordance with
\nexperience as per OSD determination). The successful candidate will be required
\nto sign a performance agreement.

REQUIREMENTS : LLB Degree; Knowledge of the maintenance system; Proficiency in at least two
\nofficial languages. Skills and Competencies: Computer literacy (MS Office);
\nExcellent communication skills (written and verbal); Numeracy skills; Ability to:
\nWork with the public in a professional and empathetic manner; Develop a
\nthorough understanding of all services and procedures in the area of
\nMaintenance and other areas of Family Law; Explain legal terminology and
\nprocesses in simple language; Manage time effectively and develop good
\nfacilitation skills; Think and write clearly; Think innovatively and work in
\npressured environment; Facilitate communication between people with
\nMaintenance; Disputes.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Perform the powers, duties or functions of a Maintenance Officer in terms of the
\nMaintenance Act; Obtain Financial information for the purposes of Maintenance
\nenquires; Guide Maintenance investigators in the performance of their functions;
\nAppear in the Maintenance Court and conduct proceedings in terms of the
\nMaintenance Act; Implement Bench orders.<\/p>\n
