The Intern reports to the Assistant-Manager.<\/p>\n<h3>Responsibilities\/Duties<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist departmental staff members with their duties whilst undertaking daily activities to learn about the basics of the departmental portfoli<\/li>\n<li>Assist with capturing and filing of political parties\u2019 information.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with relevant duties and activities as indicated by the departmental staff.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with various administrative duties within the Department including general filing, financial administration, running errands to various different departments, photocopying, faxing etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<div id=\"Requirements\" title=\"Requirements\">\n<ul>\n<li>The candidate must have completed Matric \/ N3 and a three years Bachelor\u2019s degree or diploma (NQF 7) or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Public Administration \/ Management or Social Sciences \/ Human Sciences.<\/li>\n<li>The candidate must possess report writing and good communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal skills with good knowledge of electoral legislation and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>The person must be computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s license is a recommendation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Applicants should have the following attributes:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure;<\/li>\n<li>be prepared to work long hours;<\/li>\n<li>pro-active and decisive.<\/li>\n<li>Persons must be South African Citizens and unemployed.<\/li>\n<li>Persons with Disabilities are encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>How To Apply<\/h3>\n<div>\n<div id=\"Contacts\" title=\"Contacts\">\n<p><strong>Suitably qualified candidates must forward applications with the required documentation to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Manager: Human Resources:<br \/>\nAddress: P\/Bag X112, Centurion, 0046,<br \/>\nFax: (012) 622-5219<br \/>\nEmail <a href=\"mailto:HR@elections.org.za\">HR@elections.org.za<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please take note that no applications received after the advertised closing date will be considered.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cApplicants who have not been contacted by <strong>3 April 2015<\/strong> must consider their applications as not being successful\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"ctl00_ctl00_uxContentBody_uxContentBody_ucJobPosting_cmsCareersFooter\">\n<h3>Please Note<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants for the above position\/s should not have a high party political profile.<\/li>\n<li>Successful candidates will be required to enter into performance contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Should applicants be in possession of a foreign qualification, it must be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).<\/li>\n<li>All applications must include:\n<ul>\n<li>a covering letter that clearly indicates the relevant reference number of the post and\u00a0your employee number (permanent employees) as it appears on your salary advice;<\/li>\n<li>a recent, updated comprehensive curriculum vitae; and<\/li>\n<li>certified copies of all qualification documents and identity documents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Failure to attach the relevant reference number and to submit the requested documents will result in the application not being considered.<\/li>\n<li>Please note that recommended candidates will undergo risk assessments, including inter alia the verification of curricula vitae, all qualifications, criminal and credit assessments and appointments will only be made upon positive verification thereof.<\/li>\n<li>All appointments are subject to a probation period of twelve months.<\/li>\n<li>The Electoral Commission will only correspond with short-listed candidates.<\/li>\n<li>The Electoral Commission is under no obligation to fill the position\/s and reserves the right not to make any appointment in the above post\/s.
