{"id":21521,"date":"2015-03-11T04:12:19","date_gmt":"2015-03-11T02:12:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=21521"},"modified":"2016-07-07T00:20:38","modified_gmt":"2016-07-06T22:20:38","slug":"sa-reserve-bank-work-integrated-learnership-programme-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/sa-reserve-bank-work-integrated-learnership-programme-2015.html","title":{"rendered":"SA Reserve Bank: Work Integrated Learnership Programme 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Brief Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The South African Reserve Bank (the Bank), in collaboration with two of its subsidiaries, namely the South African Mint Company (RF) Proprietary Limited (SA Mint) and the South African Bank Note Company (RF) Proprietary Limited (SABN), here referred to as the SARB Group, actively contributes to addressing the country\u2019s skills shortage in the technical and engineering fields through its Work Integrated Learning Programme (WILP).<\/p>\n<h3>Detailed Description<\/h3>\n<p>The South African Reserve Bank (the Bank), in collaboration with two of its subsidiaries, namely the South African Mint Company (RF) Proprietary Limited (SA Mint) and the South African Bank Note Company (RF) Proprietary Limited (SABN), here referred to as the SARB Group, actively contributes to addressing the country\u2019s skills shortage in the technical and engineering fields through its Work Integrated Learning Programme (WILP).<\/p>\n<p>The WILP is an internship and apprenticeship programme aimed at giving successful applicants maximum training exposure in the technical and engineering fields available within the SARB Group, preparing them for their trade test, national diploma or bachelors degree.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Programme Structure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participants will be placed at the Bank\u2019s Head Office in Pretoria and will be rotated to the SA Mint and the SABN during the programme. Successful applicants will be grouped according to their field of study, namely artisans, technicians or engineering. The programme will start in <strong>May 2015<\/strong> for artisans, in <strong>July 2015<\/strong> for technicians and in <strong>December 2015<\/strong> for learners in the field of engineering. Participants will receive a work-based learning remuneration for the duration of their programme.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Job Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Artisans:<\/strong>\u00a0learners from further education and training colleges who have an N4 certificate but require 12 to 18 months\u2019 practical work experience in order to obtain an occupational trade qualification or a trade test as a<em>motor mechanic, welder, refrigeration and air-conditioning mechanic, electrician, electronics mechanic, plumber or carpenter<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technicians:<\/strong>\u00a0learners from universities of technology who have an S3 certificate but require 12 months\u2019 practical work experience as a requirement to complete their national diploma in <em>mechanical or electrical engineering<\/em>. The 12 months are spread over two years, where the learners do the first 6 months after completing their S3 block and the other 6 months after completing their S4 block.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Engineering:<\/strong>\u00a0students from universities studying towards a bachelor\u2019s degree in <em>mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering<\/em> who require practical or vocational work experience as a partial requirement to obtain their qualification.
