CONTROL AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN 10 POSTS REF\u00a0NO: 16\/1\/15
\nSALARY : R337 998 \u2013 398 139 per annum
\nCENTRE : Elliotdale, Idutywa, Butterworth, Mdantsane, Alice, Fort Beaufort, Bedfort,
\nPeddie, Cradock And Sakhisizwe<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate qualification at NQF 6 in Agriculture \/ a qualification in agriculture
\nat NQF 7 will be an advantage. At least 6 years appropriate experience of which
\n3 years must be at Chief or Senior Agricultural Development Technician level.
\nKnowledge of Agriculture Extension Methodology and Project Planning. Selfmanagement.
\nFinancial management. People management. Change
\nmanagement. Conflict management. Customer focus and responsiveness
\nPlanning and organizing. Communication, presentation, Interpersonal skills
\nAdvanced computer skills. A valid driver\u2019s license is essential. Candidates will be
\nsubjected to a competency assessment.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Ensure that government programs (CASP, LETSEMA, LANDCARE and LRAD
\nare implemented by each extension officer \/ advisor in the area \/ that tasks
\nperformed by Extension Technicians and Advisors are in accordance with the
\nrequired norms and standards. Identify challenges and shortcomings in
\nExtension Services and take initiative in resolving them. Provide guidance to
\nTechnicians and advisors. Execute tasks that require high level knowledge and
\nexpertise Financial and HR Management. An appropriate qualification at NQF 6
\nin Agriculture \/ a qualification in agriculture at NQF 7 will be an advantage. At
\nleast 6 years appropriate experience of which 3 years must be at Chief or Senior
\nAgricultural Development Technician level. Knowledge of Agriculture Extension
