\nSALARY : R444 738 per annum in line with the provisions of the Occupational Specific
\nDispensation (OSD) for Engineers and Related Occupations
\nREQUIREMENTS : An appropriate Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Quantity Surveying plus 3 years\u2019 post
\nqualification experience gained in Quantity Surveying. Current registration with
\nthe South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession as a
\nProfessional Quantity Surveyor. Computer literacy including Microsoft Word and
\nExcel. Valid Code EB drivers licence. RECOMMENDATIONS: Knowledge of
\nProject and Programme Management. The ability to liaise and co-operate with
\nkey stake holders and Project Managers. Good verbal and written
\ncommunication skills.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Provide specialist support to project managers regarding Quantity Surveying
\nrelated matters. Coach and develop project managing skills in Quantity
\nSurveying activities. Scrutinising and compiling tender documentation and
\nprovide advice on tender procedures and delegations to form a uniform basis for
\ninviting tenders. The preparation and facilitation of various Procurement and
\nContract Administration submissions. Preparing and analysing estimates of
\ncosts for projects and the application of cost planning and project management
\nmilestone techniques to find the most economic and suitable means of execution
\nof projects. The co-ordination and control of performance of Consultant Quantity
\nSurveyors. Audit and approve Consultants fee accounts and payments to Main
\nContractors, valuation of variation orders and preparation and agreement of final
\naccounts on completion of contracts. Assist Legal Services with legal matters
\nrelating to building contracts. Assist in settling disputes with Contractors.
