POST REQUIREMENTS: *A Degree or Diploma (minimum of NQF level 6) or equivalent qualification in Policing\/Law\/Criminology or other relevant fields of study;*A minimum of 4 years\u2019 experience within the operational field of policing, law enforcement and\/or intelligence; An applicable post graduate qualification in the above relevant fields, as well as relevant training and development in Project Management\/Detective Course\/Detective Learning Programme\/ROC\/Organised Crime and Commercial Crime level 1 may be an added advantage; Applicable training and development in the Operational policing of serious corruption *Be fluent in at least two of the official languages, of which one must be English;*Have a valid motor vehicle drivers licence;*Must have successfully completed applicable functional learning programmes for the effective prevention, combating and investigation of serious crime;*Have experience in working with multi-agency relations and inter-sectoral partners;*Have specific working knowledge of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) mandate and functions (South African Police Service Act 68 of 1995), operational application of common law and relevant legislation in particular the Prevention of Organised Crime Act (Act 121 of 1998), the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act (Act 12 of 2004), and other offences mentioned in the Schedule (Section 16 (2) (iA) of the South African Police Service Act (Act 68 of 1995);*Be subjected to an integrity screening and security clearance process and be cleared at a top secret level.<\/p>\n

CORE FUNCTIONS: *Ensure effective and efficient investigation of fraud and corruption related offences within Government Departments and Private Sector. *Investigating and handling serious corruption cases in projects and\/or major investigations. *Gathering and utilising of evidence through specialised techniques and methodologies. *Managing and handling investigations in a multidisciplinary approach. *Apprehending and processing of suspects. *Administrating of case dockets and\/or enquiries. *Attending to court proceedings. *Preparation of case dockets and enquiries for inspection in accordance with the prescripts. *Managing and maintaining of an informer network. *Manage human and physical resources.<\/p>\n

GENERAL:<\/p>\n
