FINMEDIA24<\/strong> is seeking an experienced User Experience Designer at their Cape Town branch for their financial and investment focused corporate and\u00a0consumer\u00a0product offerings. This position will report to the CIO and business heads and will facilitate continuous development of user experience stories, design patterns, navigation maps and continuous wireframe prototyping, etc. You\u00a0will work\u00a0closely with a talented team of developers, testers, business analysts, product managers and technical writers using Agile\/scrum methodologies.<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate comes to us with technically minded design skills, user experience background and any financial and\/or investment related experience will be a big bonus.<\/p>\n

As technology is the key to our success, we build most of the necessary applications in-house with highly motivated teams. Using Agile development methods, we are able to adapt to emerging needs of business quickly and deliver applications that provide the necessary features in the fastest way possible.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/strong>
\nThe user experience designer serves as the key ingredient during initial prototyping as well as continuously managing design expectations between developers, business and designers. We encourage a collaborative and concurrent design\/ development process, but responsibilities would include:
\n\u2022 Design research
\n\u2022 Information architectures
\n\u2022 Wireframes
\n\u2022 Workflows
\n\u2022 Interaction design
\n\u2022 Visual design
\n\u2022 Flash demos
\n\u2022 Usability testing
\n\u2022 Internal presentations
\n\u2022 Design documentation<\/p>\n

Advantageous<\/strong>
\nAs a user experience designer you will need to demonstrate experience in and meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Strong focus on usability<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Wireframe prototyping experience
\n\u2022 Knowledge of UX design patterns
\n\u2022 Usability testing experience
\n\u2022 Site audit knowledge
\n\u2022 Ability to create flows and navigation maps
\n\u2022 Familiar with user stories or scenarios
\n\u2022 Graphic mockup experience
\n\u2022 Should be familiar with Human Factors theory
\n\u2022 Experience with user-centred design principles
\n\u2022 Strong understanding of human-computer\u00a0interaction
\n\u2022 Understanding of basic psychology beneficial
\n\u2022 Should be familiar with\u00a0computer\u00a0science discipline
\n\u2022 Should be familiar with\u00a0graphic design\u00a0discipline
\n\u2022 Understanding of persona techniques a bonus<\/p>\n
