DEPUTY DIRECTOR: EMPLOYEE RELATIONS 2 POSTS REF NO: 270315\/06
\nSALARY : R532 278 per annum (Level 11)
\nCENTRE : Pretoria<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS : A three year Degree or National Diploma in Labour Relations Management.
\nRelevant experience in Employee Relations field. Relevant and extensive middle
\nmanagement experience in Employee Relations Advanced analytical and
\nproblem solving skills. Knowledge of Employment legislation and Public Service
\nRegulatory Framework. Knowledge of the PFMA. Strong understanding of policy
\nformulation, interpretation, and implementation. Knowledge of Human Resource
\nbest practices. Ability to plan, organize and conduct research and analyse
\npolicies. Project Management skills. Knowledge of the Department restructuring
\nimperatives. Computer Literacy with knowledge of MS Access and Project will be
\nan added advantage. Dispute resolution and conflict management competencies.
\nStrong investigative and report writing skills. Good communication skills
\n(facilitation, negotiation, presentation, verbal and written). A valid driver\u2019s licence
\nand willingness to travel.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Develop departmental strategies and systems relating to dispute resolution
\nmechanisms, including policies, procedures and processes. Create and manage
\na case management database on all Labour-related matters. Monitor and
\nevaluate implementation and compliance with collective agreements, policies and
\nlegislations. Render advisory services to management and employees at all
\nbranches and divisions of the Department. Ensure uniform implementation of
\nEmployee Relations guidelines, policies and directives within the Department by
\nproviding Employee Relations training. Represent the Department conciliation
\nand arbitration proceedings. Facilitate the management of discipline and
\ngrievances in the Department. Conduct research and benchmarking initiatives for
\nthe best practices and Employee Relations practices accordingly. Manage the
\nfinances, resources and the people of the sub-directorate.
