REQUIREMENTS : LLB Degree four recognized legal qualification; Knowledge of the maintenance
\nsystem; Proficiency in at least two official languages. Skills and Competencies:
\nComputer literacy (MS Office); Excellent communication skills (written and
\nverbal); Numeracy skills; Ability to: Work with the public in a professional and
\nempathetic manner; Develop a thorough understanding of all services and
\nprocedures in the area of Maintenance and other areas of Family Law, Explain
\nlegal terminology and processes in simple language, Manage time effectively
\nand develop good facilitation skills, Think and write clearly, Think innovatively
\nand work in pressured environment, Facilitate communication between people
\nwith Maintenance disputes.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Key Performance Areas: Perform the powers, duties or functions of a
\nMaintenance Officer in terms of the Maintenance Act; Obtain Financial
\ninformation for the purposes of Maintenance enquires; Guide Maintenance
\ninvestigators in the performance of their functions; Appear in the Maintenance
\nCourt and conduct proceedings in terms of the Maintenance Act; Implement
\nBench orders.
