\nCENTRE : Defence Training Institute, CCDT, Pretoria.<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS : A three year Degree\/National Diploma in ETD\/Social Science or equivalent (or
\nNQF Level 6) or equivalent. Two (2) to four (4) years\u2019 experience preferable.
\nQualification as an assessor, facilitator\/trainer, moderator and\/or coach\/mentor
\nwill be an advantage. An understanding of training and development in the South
\nAfrican environment would be beneficial. Knowledge of Adult learning and
\nexperience in ETD, facilitation and qualification as a Compulsory Induction
\nProgramme (CIP) trainer will be an advantage. Applicants with prior learning,
\neither by means of experience or alternative courses may also apply. Special
\nrequirements (skills needed): Good communication (Verbal\/Writing) and report
\nwriting, facilitation, presentation, research, inter-personal-, co-ordination,
\nreasoning, initiative, problem solving, influencing and negotiating skills. An
\nunderstanding of Defence Civilian legislation(s) and ETD prescripts, including
\nABET & FET. Ability to work with limited supervision. Proficiency in the thread
\nlanguage of DOD. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office package (MS Word, Ms
\nPowerPoint and MS Excel). Must be in possession of a valid drivers\u2019 license
\nand\/or be able to obtain a valid military drivers\u2019 license within a year. Willingness
\nto work after hours and to travel extensively.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Determine the need for learning programmes for Defence Civilians in the DOD.
\nIdentify and harvest relevant Unit Standards from SAQA\u2019s website. Design,
\nresearch and develop a variety of applicable outcomes-based learning
\nprogrammes and outcome-based assessments. Provide guidance and support to
\nthe learners. Facilitate and train defence civilians as stipulated in the mandate.
\nLiaise with DOD CCDT\u2019s clients, as well as with other Services and Divisions in
\nthe DOD. Plan and execute learning programmes. Evaluate learning programmes
\nand adapt\/update where necessary.<\/p>\n
