REQUIREMENTS : A\/an appropriate tertiary qualification in Mining\/Electrical \/Mechanical Engineering
\nwith extensive experience at a senior management level PLUS Mine Manager\u2019s
\nCertificate of Competence (MMC) Electrical \/Mechanical Engineering
\nGovernment Certificate of Competence (GCC) PLUS the following competencies,
\nKnowledge: Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Health risk
\nassessment techniques, mining environment, both big and small, surface and
\nunderground, research and research methodology techniques, relevant public
\nregulations, regional and mining sector challenges, guidelines issued by the
\nChief Inspector of Mine, management and leadership, knowledge and application,
\nadvanced project management, Skills: management of people and Finance,
\nreport writing, inspecting and auditing, project and programme management,
\ninterpersonal and communication, advanced project management,
\nCommunication: must be able to communicate at operational and strategic
\nlevels, Creativity: must be innovative in thinking and approach.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Manage regions, Serve as nodal point for regions, Promote Mine Health and
\nSafety, Oversee regional operations, Lead high level interventions (inspection,
\ninvestigations, inquiries etc), Manage Mine Health and Safety risks (track and
\nidentify trends) ensure pro-active interventions are in place.<\/p>\n
