REQUIREMENTS : A\/an appropriate three year tertiary qualification in Environmental Sciences or
\nEnvironmental Management, a valid driver\u2019s license coupled with relevant
\nexperience PLUS the following competencies:, Knowledge: Mineral and
\nPetroleum Resources Development Act, 2002, Mineral Act of 1994, Compilation
\nof Environmental Reports Mining Procedure and Methodology Environmental
\nAct., Planning and budgeting, National Environmental Management and the
\nfunctioning of ecological process, Environmental practices, procedures and
\nprocesses, the environmental policies and impacts caused by mining operations
\nSkills: Negotiation and conflict resolution, Interpersonal and management
\nleadership, Computer literacy Communication: sound written and verbal
\ncommunication Creativity: A creative, assertive and confident approach, ability to
\nanalyse problems. Recommended innovatively corrective actions to exert vision
\nand foresight in dynamics of mining environmental management.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Evaluate EMP\u2019s; EIA\u2019s; Scoping report and closure documents. Execute
\ncomprehensive environmental inspections. Evaluate the adequacy of financial
\nprovision, consult with relevant state departments and promote co operative
\ngovernance. Investigate and resolve mine environmental related issues, queries
\nand complaints. Regulate the closure mines within stipulated time frames. Assist
\nclients through promotion of administrative justice.<\/p>\n
