REQUIREMENTS : Representivity: Coloured, Indian, White Male \/Female candidates are encouraged
\nto apply. A Grade 12 Certificate plus 1 years\u2019 work experience. A relevant 3 year
\nDiploma \/ Degree as well as Military or law enforcement experience will serve as
\nan added advantage. Knowledge of the requirements and benefits of the
\nmigration control, patrol and inspection activity in society and in hostile
\nenvironments will be an advantage. Knowledge of the Immigration Act, Refugees\u00a0Act, Criminal Procedure Act, Public Service Act and Regulations, Public Finance
\nManagement Act as well as the South African Constitution. Understanding of
\nInternational treaties. Computer literacy. Client innovation and service delivery
\nimprovement orientation, within the context of legal frameworks. Sound problem
\nsolving, data collation, analysis, trend identification and report writing skills. Good
\nwritten and verbal communication. Proven business partnering and stakeholder
\nengagement . Patriotic, honesty and integrity and interrogation skills. Security
\noriented. Team player. Decisive. Expected to work irregular hours and under
\npressure. A valid driver\u2019s license and willingness to travel. The successful
\ncandidate will undergo 6 to 8 weeks training which will include an unarmed
\ncombat module, Military, Police or Prosecution experience will serve as an added
\nadvantage.
\nDUTIES : The successful candidate will be responsible for amongst others, the following
\ntasks: Trace, arrest and detain illegal foreigners within the Republic. Process the
\ndeportation of illegal foreigners. Execute inspections in loco without a warrant if
\nallowed by law. Execute investigations in loco search warrants. Enable
\nprosecution of transgressors of the legislation. Issue notices to appear in front of
\nDirector General to transgressors. Process and present evidence in court -Issue
\nthe admission of guilt fines to transgressors Conduct interviews and investigation
\nof foreigners who are suspected to be illegal in the country. Issue orders to illegal
\nforeigners to depart from the country. Process application for the extension of
\ndetention warrants. Monitor the records of all cases. Execute operations with
\ninternal and external stakeholders. Retrieve expenses incurred from illegal
\nforeigners in relation to their deportation, detention, maintenance and custody.
\nexpected to work irregular hours and under pressure. Must accept scheduled
\nafter hours stand by duty every week. Whilst on standby, must be readily
\navailable at all times at any hour of the day or night to attend to requests for
\nservices on call.<\/p>\n
