\nSALARY : R652 281 per annum, all inclusive OSD package

REQUIREMENTS : Degree in Quality Survey or relevant qualification. Six (6) years post qualification
\nSurvey experience required. Valid driver\u2019s license. Compulsory registration with
\nthe South African Council for Quantity Surveying (SACQSP) as a professional
\nQuantity Surveyor (proof of registration must be attached). Must be in
\npossession of valid drivers licence. Must have extensive knowledge of survey
\ndesign and analysis. Incumbent should be proficient in technical consulting and
\ntechnical report writing. Must be able to draw up Bill of Quantities, submitting
\npayment certificates and budget control of projects. Research and development.
\nComputer-aided survey applications. Mobile equipment operating skills. Must
\nhave good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Must be
\nable and prepared to work under pressure. Problem solving and analysis,
\nprofessional judgement, research and development, decision making, leadership
\nqualities and creativity. Financial management.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Coordinate professional teams on all aspects regarding the quantity survey and
\nprovide assistance to all Project Managers and Site Agents responsible for
\ncalculation of unit rates for record keeping, creating a database for all
\nconstruction activities. Provide quantity survey advice and technical support in the
\nevaluation of costs. Ensure the adoption of technical and quality strategies.
\nDevelop quantity survey related policies, methods and practices. Provide\u00a0solutions on non-compliance on quantity determination. Review the cost
\ndeterminations of projects and estimates accomplished by building designers and
\n\/or sub-professional personnel. Ensure adherence to the requirements of
\nprofessional registration. Ensure training and development of subordinates to
\npromote skills\/acknowledge transfer and sound engineering principles and code
\nof good of practice. Incumbent will be responsible for effective personnel
\nmanagement and compilation of and adherence to budgets and programmes.
\nResponsible to report on project progress and supervise Contractors. Ensure
\ncompliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Employment Equity
\nAct, the Skills Development Act and the Labour Relations Act, team leadership.
\nCreativity. Financial Management. Customer focus and responsiveness. Planning
\nand organizing. People Management. Knowledge and practical experience in
\nGovernment procurement procedures.<\/p>\n
