JOB PURPOSE:
\nTo plan and conduct multiple tax audits on a risk profile basis to ensure compliance to the relevant acts.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
\nProcess
\nIdentify and resolve queries and problems timeously, apply discretion in line with process guidelines provided and escalate unresolved problems.
\nBe observant and engage on possible violations of procedures and standards of conduct and escalate where necessary.
\nEffectively utilise resources allocated to the job in order to perform contracted work outputs and report on and escalate any shortfalls.
\nPlan and organise own work tasks within area of work.
\nEnsure that completed work adhere to relevant policies, procedures, governance and legislative requirements and report on deviations & discrepancies.
\nCorrectly apply policies, practices, standards, procedures and legislation in the delivery of work outputs.
\nPerform operations in a specialised area to technical specifications and contribute to operational result delivery within predefined standards.
\nUse practical and applied knowledge and judgement to arrive at decisions.
\nDevelop and maintain productive working relationships with peers and SARS role players’ to achieve predefined objectives.
\nApply practical and applied knowledge and act authoritatively on methods, systems and procedures to identify trends and potential risks.
\nProvide reports with recommendations applicable to area of specialisation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
\nQualification Type: Honours (B Comm) in Accounting or Taxation Academic Field: Business, Commerce and management studies and 6 years working experience in a taxation environment, of which 3 years working experience in an audit environment or MTA Qualification.
\nCTA with external SAICA articles (preferable)
