In conjunction with his\/her team he\/she is required to assist the artisan with routine tasks that he\/she has been trained in.<\/p>\n<p>He\/she are to adhere to strictly safety rules &amp; principles as per site specific and Anglo platinum requirements.<\/p>\n<p><b>The technical responsibilities of the role are:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 All work is performed to \u2018Zero Tolerance\u2019 principles.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Machinery and equipment is operated according to standard procedures<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Checklists are completed and submitted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Engineering Learner is responsible to provide support to the artisans to support them in maintaining equipment &amp; machinery.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidates will take part in a Learnership programme leading to the selected qualification and qualified Artisan.<\/p>\n<p><b>Technical work responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 Will obey any reasonable instruction given by management<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Core work outputs:Quality support to artisan and provide low complexity and high volume work<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Minimum Entry Requirements<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Matric with mathematics and English (Physical Science added advantage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Minimum Entry Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Matric with mathematics and English (Physical Science added advantage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0N2 with 4 subjects as per the specific Discipline Requirements (added advantage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0NCV Level \u2013 4 In the appropriate trade<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Communication in English<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Completed engineering assistant phase 1 and phase 2 training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>Trade Test Requirements<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 A minimum of an N2 certificate with the four applicable subjects for the relevant trade as specified below:\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0 Electrical (Maths; Engineering Science; Electrical Trade Theory; Industrial Electronics)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Fitting (Maths; Engineering Science; Engineering Drawing; Fitting &amp; Machining Trade Theory)<\/li>\n<li>Diesel Mechanic (Maths; Engineering Science; Engineering Drawing; Diesel Trade Theory)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Plater \/ Welder (Maths; Engineering Science; Plating and Structural Drawing, Plater\u2019s Theory)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Rigger (Maths; Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing; Rigging Theory)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Auto Electrician (Maths; Engineering Science; Auto Electrical Trade Theory; Industrial Electronics)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0The appointed learner will sign an agreement where the learner commits him \/ herself to obtain the minimum N2 or any required subjects applicable to the trade, necessary for qualifying<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Where applicable the Company will support the appointed learner to achieve the minimum requirements by allowing the learner to attend one full trimester to obtain the relevant N2 for the trade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Physical Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 Certificate of fitness<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Hand-eye co-ordination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Learnership Conditions for Successful Candidates<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Must be prepared to work underground\/surface and in plants \u201cdusty areas\u201d, and an eleven day fortnight shift where applicable<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Must be a South African Citizen<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Must pass the relevant Rehabilitation Functionality Assessment (RFA) &amp;
