The candidate must be able to perform a technical lead role, driving the architecture, design, development and implementation of systems in a collaborative, professional environment.<strong><\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/strong> Degree\/diploma or relevant equivalent e.g. MCSD certification (.NET with SQL Server advantageous)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in the financial services sector, e.g. with accounting systems preferable<\/li>\n<li>Solid project experience (exposure to full project lifecycle) in at least 2-3 projects of duration at least 3 months, and relevant work experience at an intermediate level of at least 1-2 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; experience: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to plan and estimate development effort<\/li>\n<li>Ability to perform a technical developer role<\/li>\n<li>Architecture experience advantageous<\/li>\n<li>OO design and development, with use of design patterns and UML<\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding of .NET framework fundamentals<\/li>\n<li>Good experience in Visual Studio 2005, with Team System edition preferable<\/li>\n<li>Solid experience in Windows Forms and ASP.NET projects using C#<\/li>\n<li>Solid experience in Visual Studio 6, specifically VB 6<\/li>\n<li>Data modeling\/design and database development\/T-SQL (SQL Server 2000 and later)<\/li>\n<li>Development in teams using an SCM tool, e.g. VSS<\/li>\n<li>Ability to produce relevant technical documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Areas: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Internal team feedback<\/li>\n<li>Project delivery (productivity and quality against baseline)<\/li>\n<li>Client feedback (in terms of the software delivered)<\/li>\n<li>Contribution to software development practice (methodology, tools, research)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&lt;&lt;\u00a0<span style=\"color: #003366;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bsg.co.za\/web\/guest\/submit_your_cv\">Click here to apply.<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is an opportunity for a person with solid experience in building .NET systems using C# and ASP.NET to join the Software Solutions team.
