REQUIREMENTS : Basic R425 qualification Diploma or Degree in nursing and minimum of 9 years
\nappropriate Nursing experience after Registration as professional Nurse with the SANC
\nin General Nursing. At least 5 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate
\n\/recognizable experience after obtaining one year post basic qualification in the relevant
\nNursing speciality. Post qualification with duration of 1 year in curative skills in Primary
\nHealth Care. Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to work in
\nteam environment. A valid Driver\u2019s license is a requirement.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Demonstrate an in depth understanding of nursing legislation and Related legal ethical
\nnursing practices and how this impact on service delivery. Ensure clinical nursing
\npractice by the nursing team (unit) in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing
\nstandards as determined by the relevant health authority. Promote quality of nursing care
\nas directed by the professional scope of practice and standards. Demonstrate a basic
\nunderstanding of HR and financial policies and practices. Demonstrate effective
\ncommunication and leadership skills. Be able to plan, lead, organize and control the
\norganization. Work as a part of a multidisciplinary team at unit level to ensure good
\nnursing care by nursing team. Work effectively and amicably at supervisory level with
\nperson of diverse intellectual, cultural, racial or religious beliefs. Display a concern for
\npatients by promoting, advocating and facilitating proper treatment and care. Ensure that
\nthe unit adheres to the principles of National and Provincial Strategic plans to achieve the
\nset goals. Build and maintain a network of professional relations in order to enhance
\nservice delivery. Demonstrate basic computer literacy as a support tool to enhance
\nservice delivery.<\/p>\n
