REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12. Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council in terms
\nof Government Notice 425, i.e. diploma\\ degree in Nursing as a Professional Nurse. A
\nminimum of 7 (seven) years appropriate \\recognizable experience in nursing after
\nregistration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council in General
\nNursing. Verified proof of experience. Strong leadership, good communication and sound
\ninterpersonal skills are necessary. Computer literate<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Supervise and ensure the provision of effective and efficient patient care through
\nadequate nursing care. Co-ordinate and monitor the implementation of the nursing care
\nplan and the evaluation thereof. Provide relevant health information to health care users
\nto assist in achieving optimal health care and rehabilitation of patients. Maintain
\nconstructive working relationships with nursing and other stake holders i.e. interprofessional,
\ninter-sectoral, and multi- disciplinary teamwork. Participate in the analysis,
\nformulation and implementation of nursing guidelines, practices, standards and
\nprocedures. Manage and monitor proper utilization of human, financial and physical
\nresource. Maintain professional growth\\ ethical standards and development of self and
\nsubordinates<\/p>\n
