All our full-time students are viewed as potential employees \u2013 depending on vacancies being available after successfully completing their qualifications.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bursary Value<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The comprehensive bursary, covers the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuition fees<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation and meals<\/li>\n<li>Book Allowance<\/li>\n<li>Experiential training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students are allowed to study at a South African University of their own choice who offers the relevant fields of study.<\/p>\n<p><b>This list may vary depending on the needs of the company:<\/b><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr class=\" \">\n<td><b>B. Engineering<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Industrial (Ref no: 60000173)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Metallurgy (physical) (Ref no: 60000170)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Electrical (heavy current) (Ref no: 60000167)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Electronic (Ref no: 60000171)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Mechanical (Ref no: 60000169)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Civil (Ref no: 60000175)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3>Selection<\/h3>\n<p>After the screening of applications by the Transnet Bursary Department, candidates \u2013 based on academic performance on secondary or tertiary level \u2013 will be invited to be interviewed. The interviews will take place in Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Cape Town and Durban.<\/p>\n<p><em>The final selection and award is subjective to the following:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interview<\/li>\n<li>Satisfactory academic results<\/li>\n<li>Medical fitness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>What Will Transnet Expect From Me? (Contractual Obligations)<\/h3>\n<p>Students are required to render one year\u2019s service for every year of financial aid received from Transnet after acquiring the qualification.<\/p>\n<p>Subjects failed must be repeated at student\u2019s own cost.
