REQUIREMENTS : 3-year tertiary qualification and extensive experience in a marine environment
\nor harbour operations environment, Knowledge of Marine Living Resources\u00a0Act (MLRA), Public Financial Management Act (PFMA), Labour Relations Act\u00a0(LRA), Public Service Act ((PSA) and Maritime Law, Experience in dealing\u00a0with different stakeholders\/harbour users and financial management, Ability
\nto supervise staff, Valid driver\u2019s licence (minimum Code B) and the ability to
\ndrive, Ability to write reports, Computer skills, Ability to develop, analyse and
\napply policies.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Manage and service all operational needs at the fishing harbours with regard
\nto allocating marine fishing facilities such as mooring space, landing sites and
\nfish cleaning sheds, Ensure compliance with the OHS Act and physical
\ninspection of the civil infrastructure such as buildings and roads, Conduct
\nregular meetings with relevant stakeholders, Keep stakeholders informed of
\ndevelopments and consult on mutual matters, Enforce compliance with
\nharbour regulations, Ensure that users pay for services rendered, Ensure
\ncompliance from vessel owners entering the harbour that they obtain
\npermission, Manage effective financial and general administration, Ensure
\nrecord keeping of financial documents, collection of harbour revenue and
\nbanking and maintaining harbour registers, Manage capacity and
\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n
