REQUIREMENTS : Engineering Degree (B Eng\/BSC (Eng) or relevant qualification, Six years
\npost qualification experience required as a Registered Professional Engineer,
\nA valid driver\u2019s license, Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional
\nEngineer.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Engineering design and analysis effectiveness:- Perform final review and
\napprovals or audits on new engineering designs according to design
\nprinciples or theory, Co-ordinate design efforts and integration across
\ndisciplines to ensure seamless integration with current technology;
\nPioneering of new engineering services and management methods\u2022 Maintain
\nengineering operational effectiveness:- Manage the execution of
\nmaintenance strategy through the provision of appropriate structures,
\nsystems and resources; Set engineering maintenance standards,
\nspecifications and service levels according to organizational objectives to
\nensure optimum operational availability; Monitor maintenance efficiencies
\naccording to organizational goals to direct or redirect engineering services for
\nthe attainment of organizational objectives, Governance:- Allocate, control,
\nmonitor and report on all resources; compile risk logs and manages
\nsignificant risk according to sound risk management practice and
\norganizational requirements; Provide technical consulting services for the
\noperation on engineering related matters to minimize possible engineering
\nrisks; Manage and implement knowledge sharing initiatives e.g. short-term
\nassignments and secondments within and across operations, in support of
\nindividual development plans, operational requirements and return on
\ninvestment; Continuously monitor the exchange and protection of information
\nbetween operations and individuals to ensure effective knowledge
\nmanagement according to departmental objectives\u2022 Financial Management:-
\nEnsure the availability and management of funds to meet the MTEF
\nobjectives within the engineering environment\/services; Manage the
\noperational capital project portfolio to ensure effective resourcing according to
\norganizational needs and objectives; Manage the commercial value add of
\nthe discipline- related programmes and projects; Facilitate the compilation of
\ninnovation proposals to ensure validity and adherence to organizational
\nprinciples; Allocate, control and monitor expenditure according to budget to
\nensure efficient cash flow management, People management:- Manage the
\ndevelopment, motivation and utilization of human resources for the discipline
\nto ensure competent knowledge base for the continued success of<\/p>\n
