STATE ACCOUNTANT, OPERATIONS: TPF 6 POSTS

\nSALARY : R170 799 \u2013 R201 195 per annum. The successful candidate will be required to sign
\na performance agreement.<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS : A Financial related Degree \/ Diploma or equivalent qualifications. Knowledge of
\nPublic Financial Management Act (PFMA) and National Treasury Regulation would
\nbe an added advantage. Knowledge of the Department and Third Party Funds and
\nservice will serve as a recommendation; A valid driver\u2019s. The following attributes will
\nbe an added advantage: One year experience in Financial Accounting \/ Management
\nenvironment would be an added advantage. Knowledge of Third Party Funds
\nadministration at National, Regional or court level would be an added advantage;
\nKnowledge and Experience in bank and cashbook reconciliations. Experience on the
\nJustice Deposit Account System (JDAS).; Justice Management Information System
\n(JMIS) and advanced spread sheet skills (May be tested) would be an added
\nadvantage; Computer literacy; Communication (Written and verbal) skills; Planning
\nand organizing skills; Ability to work under pressure and be self-motivated. Accurate
\nand attention to details. A valid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Key Performance Areas:<\/p>\n
TRAINING & ON-SITE SUPPORT: Identify training and
\non-site support needs and trainees in identified courts; Assist with training venue and
\nprinting of training material as received from National Office Assist with the
\ncompilation of the training and on-site support program with the Assistant Director;
\nAssist the Assistant Director with the implementation of the training and on-site
\nsupport program in Region; Maintain training and on-site support data base at the
\nidentified courts; Evaluate with the assistance of the Assistant Director the training
\nand on-site support through continuous monitoring.<\/p>\n
EFT DEPLOYMENT: Monitor
\nand support roll out sites in the cluster with EFT Maintenance payment schedules;
\nAssist in the transition of EFT Maintenance Payments to Direct Payments; Drive
\nDirect Payments of EFT Maintenance in the Identified courts; Assist in rejections on
\nthe bank side of EFT payments when performing the bank reconciliations in the
\nidentified courts.<\/p>\n
TPF DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT AND TPF COORDINATION\u00a0AND FOLLOW UP:<\/p>\n
Assist all identified courts within the province to ensure proper
\nTPF document management practices and take corrective action where and when
\nnecessary: Co-ordinate confirmation certificates received from identified courts; Run,
\nco-ordinate and follow up on all Static Cases in the Identified Courts; Report to the
\nAssistant Director: Operations on a monthly basis; Compare on a monthly basis
\nAnnexure A to S to the relevant Static Cases together with the relevant supporting
\ndocumentation required for the identified courts; Report to the Assistant Director:
\nOperations on a monthly basis; Perform the bank reconciliation at the identified\u00a0courts on a monthly basis; Complete Annexure T on a monthly basis at the identified
\ncourts; Investigate and clear Add and Deduct corrections on the bank reconciliations
\nat identified courts.<\/p>\n
AUDIT FACILITATION: Assist all courts within the province with
\nAudit Readiness and Audit Action planning and reporting with corrective action\/s.<\/p>\n
OTHER: Assist with National and Regional TPF projects as and when requested:
\nProvide inputs on improvements on financial systems, processes & procedures<\/p>\n
