This is to be done in compliance with electrical codes, standards and regulations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The successful candidate will be required to perform, but not be limited to the following outputs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Key Outputs<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Repair lighting and globe replacement<\/li>\n<li>Check lux levels in building<\/li>\n<li>Check on generators as per service schedule<\/li>\n<li>Daily monitoring of the generator readings i.e. Batteries, Oil level, and water temperature<\/li>\n<li>Assist with general repair work within the Discovery campus, as well as the call centre e.g power to desk, light systems and power faults.<\/li>\n<li>General Fault finding on appliances i.e. microwaves and fridges<\/li>\n<li>Daily inspection of energy centre according to the service schedule<\/li>\n<li>Weekly inspection of portable electrical equipment<\/li>\n<li>Installation of power-poles<\/li>\n<li>Installation of lights<\/li>\n<li>Installation of Light Circuits<\/li>\n<li>To do inspections, repairs and general electrical maintenance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Competencies<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The successful candidate will be required to display the following competencies in this role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enjoy a variety of administrative responsibilities i.e. Keeping log of material usage, managing Job cards, logging of time against time sheets<\/li>\n<li>Multi-task and work on several projects at once<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that delegated tasks are preformed within proper time frames<\/li>\n<li>Prioritise workload and address any immediate issues as and when they arise<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication at all levels within the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Client centric servicing and positive problem solving approach<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Deadline conscious and able to work under immense pressure<\/li>\n<li>Work independently, but open to team work when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Takes responsibility for actions and projects<\/li>\n<li>Upholds ethics, values and demonstrates integrity<\/li>\n<li>Adapts to changing circumstances, new ideas and change initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent time management<\/li>\n<li>Multi-tasking<\/li>\n<li>Communication and administrative kills<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Sense of urgency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Electrician Internship<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>N3 Electrical qualification or higher<\/li>\n<li>Practical experience (advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Own drivers license and car (advantage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dc.erecruit.co.za\/candidateapp\/Jobs\/View\/150609-21\/Electrician_Internship\" target=\"_blank\">Apply for the Discovery Electrician Graduate \/ Internship<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Plumber Internship \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Any Civil and Construction Technical Qualification e.g. NTC3 (theoretical)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0With a major in plumbing<\/li>\n<li>Own drivers license and car (advantage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a title=\"Apply for the Discovery ...
