{"id":23286,"date":"2015-06-19T12:38:58","date_gmt":"2015-06-19T10:38:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=23286"},"modified":"2016-11-14T15:37:34","modified_gmt":"2016-11-14T13:37:34","slug":"wc-dept-of-transport-and-public-works-traffic-officer-learnership-programme-2015-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/wc-dept-of-transport-and-public-works-traffic-officer-learnership-programme-2015-2016.html","title":{"rendered":"WC Dept Of Transport And Public Works: Traffic Officer Learnership Programme 2015 \/ 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Transport and Public Works will be recruiting Traffic Students for the completion of a Traffic Diploma<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification;<\/li>\n<li>Valid motor vehicle license (manual) code B;<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must be physically fit,<\/li>\n<li>Candidates must be presentable for this particular portfolio;<\/li>\n<li>No criminal record;<\/li>\n<li>Candidates must qualify for appointment as an Authorized Officer and for the<br \/>\nappointment as Peace Officer in terms of the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977;<\/li>\n<li>Well versed with the home language of the majority of residents in a specific area where the successful incumbents will be appointed;<\/li>\n<li>Candidates reserved for shortlisting will be subject to undergo fingerprint checks by the SAPS and will be required to undergo the following tests: interview,<br \/>\nknowledge test, fitness, driving test and a medical test as proof that the reserved candidates may do strenuous exercise;<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be resident in the immediate vicinity of their selected traffic centres, if appointed afterwards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Recommendations<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>One year or more driving experience will be an advantage;<\/li>\n<li>As these positions are targeted at the youth of the province, candidates younger than 35 years of age will receive preference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Performance<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Enforce road traffic, public passenger and transport legislations;<\/li>\n<li>Provide visible traffic control \/ policing and promote \/ ensure crime prevention activities;<\/li>\n<li>Perform all administrative activities and related duties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How To Apply<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><a class=\"apply\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westerncape.gov.za\/assets\/departments\/transport-public-works\/Documents\/z83_application_for_employment.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Download Z83\u00a0form<\/a>\u00a0(Official Application form).\u00a0The form must be completed in full.<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"apply\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westerncape.gov.za\/assets\/departments\/transport-public-works\/Documents\/application_forms_questionare_2015-06_final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Application questionnaire<\/a>.\u00a0Complete all Questions on this form and add the documentation where required.<br \/>\nAdditional documentation: Question 2 and 3, Your Senior Certificate, Your Drivers Licence<br \/>\nAdditional documentation: Question 4 and 5, Proof of your Residential Address<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"apply\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westerncape.gov.za\/assets\/departments\/transport-public-works\/Documents\/application_method_explained.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Application method explained<\/a>.\u00a0This is a short summary of the phases that will take place.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The two abovementioned forms (Z83 and Application Questionnaire) need to be completed in full and added to your CV.
