Eaton Electric SA in Wadeville has an opening for a Project Manager.
\nThe position of Project Manager is in support of the South African manufacturing and engineering departments. The individual must have a strong work ethic and the ability to foresee and overcome problems to deliver projects on time and within budget.<\/p>\n

The Project manager will be required to:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Use modern project management tools and techniques to execute projects related to the engineering, procurement, and construction of electrical power system modifications.
\n\u2022 Deliver projects with a high degree of professionalism and safety, using his\/her knowledge of electrical engineering, substation design, & construction safety.
\n\u2022 Have full responsibility for his\/her assigned projects and authority to complete them from inception to scope development, planning, execution, management of people and resources.
\n\u2022 Have the discipline to create clear and achievable cost, quality, and schedule objectives and follow these objectives through to successful completion.
\n\u2022 Provide technical leadership to the production, sales & service teams and all other stakeholder\u2019s in the projects.
\n\u2022 Other duties and projects as assigned.<\/p>\n

2. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
\n\u2022 Manages & maintains the commercial contracts between Eaton and its customers.
\n\u2022 Estimates, prepares, submits, and manages change orders between customer and Eaton.
\n\u2022 Manages and communicates the scope of work & responsibilities between Eaton\u2019s customers, Eaton\u2019s employees, & Eaton\u2019s suppliers \/ sub-contractors.
\n\u2022 Establishes, and manages the contract(s) between Eaton and its vendors & subcontractors.
\n\u2022 Plans, establishes, maintains, and regularly updates a project schedule on assigned projects.
\n\u2022 Manages communication, and distributes documentation between Eaton and its customers
\n\u2022 Monitors, reports, and controls costs on assigned projects within estimated project margin.
\n\u2022 Reports, forecasts, and presents project financial activity to Eaton\u2019s management.
\n\u2022 Prepares, distributes, and follows through with project safety plan.
\n\u2022 Responsible for financial performance of project including: profitability, project revenue, and cash flow.<\/p>\n

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)<\/span><\/strong>
\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering from an accredited Institution.
\n\u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience managing electrical projects.
\n\u2022 Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver\u2019s license.
\n\u2022 Strong knowledge of project Management principles
\n\u2022 Demonstrates ability to effectively interface with high level management
\n\u2022 Strong computer skills (Microsoft products, AutoCAD, Visio)<\/p>\n

Additional requirements:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Requires some travel, including overnight, but not more than 25%
\n\u2022 Experienced negotiator and has conducted numerous face-to-face negotiations.
\n\u2022 Participated in global contract negotiations. \u2022 Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
\n\u2022 Adept at successful project execution. \u2022 Strong experience to deliver technical solutions to customers.
\n\u2022 Experience managing field service engineer\/technician roles.
\n\u2022 PMI certification a plus.<\/p>\n
