\nSALARY : R 242 382 – per annum (plus benefits)
\nCENTRE : Johannesburg Head Office
\nREQUIREMENTS : A three year Degree\/Diploma in Communication\/ Media Studies\/ Marketing with
\n2\u2013 3 years\u2019 experience in communication environment in the public sector or
\nGrade 12 with 10 years equivalent experience in communication. Knowledge and
\nunderstanding of Departmental events planning and coordination systems,
\nprocedures and processes. Knowledge of Departmental communications strategy
\npolicy, processes, promotional items and events. Skills and competencies: Good
\nCustomer focused and responsiveness, communication and information
\nmanagement, innovative, public personality innovation, project management,
\nreport writing, planning and organizing, coordination, media liaison strategy,
\nmarketing, stakeholder relation and relationship building skills. Good computer
\nliteracy and knowledge of computer software programs (MS Office package). A
\nvalid driver\u2019s licence.
\nDUTIES : Prepare Departmental events. Participate in Departmental events planning
\nforums. Provide assistance in the design of Departmental promotional material.
\nPrepare and display appropriate Departmental promotional material relevant to
\nDepartmental events. Set up Departmental material as per promotional plans and
\nbrand designated venues as per Departmental events branding strategy.<\/p>\n
Distribute Departmental promotional material to interested members of the public
\nand stakeholders. Promote Department programmes and package Departmental
\nservices and programmes to communities and stakeholders. Assist office of the
\nMEC in promotion of Departmental programmes and services.
