{"id":23458,"date":"2015-07-03T08:40:22","date_gmt":"2015-07-03T06:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=23458"},"modified":"2016-11-14T13:11:13","modified_gmt":"2016-11-14T11:11:13","slug":"limpopo-dept-of-public-works-bursary-scholarship-programme-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/limpopo-dept-of-public-works-bursary-scholarship-programme-2016.html","title":{"rendered":"Limpopo Dept Of Public Works: Bursary \/ Scholarship Programme 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Limpopo Province experiences a shortage of qualified Engineers, technicians and other needed scarce skills to establish, maintain and manage government office building, efficiently.<\/p>\n<h3>Purpose<\/h3>\n<p>\u2666 Address skills shortage in the Department, offer financial assistance to the previously disadvantaged to acquire skills that are needed in the Department. \u2666 To raise the quality skills development through out the Province. \u2666 To promote economic growth, employment and social development. \u2666 To promote South Africa with high calibre, motivated students who wish to make a career in scarce skills.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility For Considerations<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>South African<\/li>\n<li>Intending to or studying towards a degree\/diploma at a recognized South African tertiary institute.<\/li>\n<li>Accepted by the university\/technikon.<\/li>\n<li>Final year students at institutions of higher learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Bursaries \/ Targeted Areas<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Building Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Quantity Surveying<\/li>\n<li>Architectural Science<\/li>\n<li>Landscaping<\/li>\n<li>Asset Management<\/li>\n<li>Information Technology \/ Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Targeted Learning Areas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department identifies the needs from the Directorates\/Programmes, then advertises the need to the community through the following: \u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Career exhibition<\/li>\n<li>Newspapers<\/li>\n<li>Radio<\/li>\n<li>Visiting Educational Institutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Selection Procedures<\/h3>\n<p>\u2666 All applications must be for the next academic year. \u2666 Applicants will not be considered for a bursary if he\/ she previously failed unless he \/ she re-writes or repeats at his\/her own expenses. \u2666 Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science or NTC 3 (National Technical Certificates). \u2666 Must be South African Citizen. \u2666 Applications from designated groups will be given preference. \u2666 Must be South African Citizen. \u2666 Schedules are compiled for selection process.. \u2666 Applications from designated groups will be given preference. \u2666 Training Committee will convene a meeting for the selection of candidates. \u2666 Applications from designated groups will be given preference. \u2666 Successful candidates will be notified in writing and advised to sign a bursary agreement with the Department before payments could be made.<\/p>\n<h3>Payment Process<\/h3>\n<p>\u2666 Proof of registration with particular tertiary institution should be submitted. \u2666 Payment is made after receiving the statement of account from the institutions. \u2666 Payments are therefore made in respect of the following items:- \u2666 Registration \u2666 Tuition \u2666 Meals \u2666 Accommodation \u2666 Books<\/p>\n<h3>Bursary Obligations<\/h3>\n<p>After completion of studies, a student is compelled to serve the number of year\u2019s equivalent to years of sponsorship Refund of Bursary Payments Failure to comply with the provisions of the bursary agreement will result in the Bursary having to refund immediately all amounts (plus interest) paid by the Department.<\/p>\n<h3>How To Apply<\/h3>\n<p><a class=\"apply\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dpw.limpopo.gov.za\/docs\/careers\/Public%20Works%20Bursary%20Programmes.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Download <\/a><a class=\"apply\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dpw.limpopo.gov.za\/docs\/careers\/Public%20Works%20Bursary%20Programmes.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Bursary <\/a><a class=\"apply\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dpw.limpopo.gov.za\/docs\/careers\/Public%20Works%20Bursary%20Programmes.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Application Form<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Closing Date: 31 October 2015<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Limpopo Province experiences a shortage of qualified Engineers, technicians and other needed scarce skills to establish, maintain and manage government office building, efficiently.
