\nSALARY : R123 738 per annum, Level 5
\nCENTRE : Finance Management Division, Chief Directorate Financial Services, Directorate
\nFinancial Control Services, Motor Accident Claims Section, Pretoria.<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Grade 12 certificate with finance related subjects. Ability in
\nunderstanding, interpreting and correctly applying of financial policies and
\nprescripts. Computer literate in MS Office software packages. Ability to effectively
\nliaise and communicate with clients, legal representatives and senior DOD
\npersonnel. Successful candidates must have sound reasoning, mathematical and\u00a0problem solving skills as well as trustworthy, honest and loyal. Decisive and
\npersevering iro task finalisation. Permanent RSA citizen, with no criminal record.
\nMust be in the possession of a valid code 8 driver\u2019 license. Added advantage:
\nPost matric qualification in Finance and\/or minimum of one year relevant
\nexperience. Basic knowledge of financial\/legal process and insurance claims. The
\nsuccessful candidate will be required to complete all relevant courses and must
\nbe willing to travel.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Assisting the Supervisor in: Receiving and registering letters of demand and\/or
\nsummonses iro mobile as sets accidents caused by Department of Defence
\n(DOD) drivers and the processing thereof in accordance with policies and
\nprescripts. Obtain information, documents, statements, reports and statutes wrt
\nthe case. Draft briefing notes to State Attorney on proposed handling of the case.
\nDetermine course of action to be taken in best interest of the State (DOD). Liaise,
\nnegotiate and arrange consultations with roll players for specialized inputs and
\nadvice. Frequent inter-action with interest groups, experts, attorneys, council
\npanel and assisting the State Attorney during litigation process and trial. Correctly
\napply legal and procedural principles whereby civil claims are handled on behalf
\nof the Minister of Defence. Analyse and interpret appropriate action. Regularly
\nstudy and update own knowledge of Government policies, regulations and
\nprescripts relating to matters of litigation. Visit of units in Gauteng and Limpopo.
\nRecord, files and safeguard of all documentation generated in the section for
\nfuture enquiries and audit purpose.
