{"id":23639,"date":"2015-07-15T08:22:43","date_gmt":"2015-07-15T06:22:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=23639"},"modified":"2015-07-15T08:54:18","modified_gmt":"2015-07-15T06:54:18","slug":"trainee-compliance-officer-job-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/trainee-compliance-officer-job-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Trainee Compliance Officer Job Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PPS seeks a go-getter with a pragmatic approach to systems and processes, and an excellent track record of achievement academically.<\/p>\n<p>To provide support to the Governance \/ Compliance team and relevant business.<\/p>\n<p>A person who enjoys research and can think independently who will be able to stand their ground on matters of fact.<\/p>\n<p><u>Main duties and responsibilities:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Run post compliance trade reports on multi managed funds and provide daily reports.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct breach investigations, this involves liaison with asset managers, external service providers and the multi managers.<\/li>\n<li>Define and update asset characteristics on compliance system as and when required.<\/li>\n<li>Update compliance system rules as and when mandates and regulatory requirements change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Key acts are as follows:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collective Investment Schemes Act<\/li>\n<li>ASISA Standard on Fund Classification for SA Regulated CIS;<\/li>\n<li>Regulation 28; and<\/li>\n<li>Long Term Insurance Act.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to the marketing team with CISA related queries.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to the Compliance Officer as and when required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Ideal requirements:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>0 &#8211; 2 years in a financial services environment (exposure to financial instruments a benefit)<\/li>\n<li>BCom or BSci degree with investment related background<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Closing Date: 14\/08\/2015<\/p>\n<p>Location: Cape Town<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/careers.fishtankrecruit.com\/ppsinvestments\/61-20150702\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to Apply ONLINE<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PPS seeks a go-getter with a pragmatic approach to systems and processes, and an excellent track record of achievement academically.
